Meeting your Engineering Needs

Using technically sound methods and procedures, we provide our customers with the proper and most cost effective solutions. We can design new power distribution systems from the ground up or we can retrofit new equipment into existing facilities. Complimenting our established control expertise and our project management skills, we provide our customers with a one-stop solution for all of their control and electrical needs.

Our experience includes designing, specifying, installing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup of industrial electrical systems. We use accurate and thorough design meeting the specifications in the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), and the National Electrical Code (NEC), and good engineering practices.

Modeling Capabilities

Ready Engineering uses computer software to model small distribution systems or complete industrial plants operating at multiple voltage levels. Modeling a system is useful in new system design for comparison of existing load/fault levels with equipment ratings, and for investigating transient disturbances on systems. Power systems reports are backed up where practical with actual field measurements.

Power Management Expertise

With utility deregulation and rising energy costs, power management can significantly reduce operating costs. Ready Engineering can provide a power management study and, using our expertise in controls, integrate a power management program with the existing plant control system.

Customer Focus

A cornerstone of REC's past success is our insistence in working closely with our customers throughout a project. While not earth shattering, many consultants miss this fundamental concept, resulting in mismatches between customer requirements and system features. We work closely with the customer's engineering, maintenance, and operations personnel to ensure that all aspects of a design are considered, and the needs of all three groups are met. Working closely with other consultants and contractors involved in the project ensures that each workscope meshes seamlessly. REC has acted as the owners' representative, coordinating other contractors and consultants to provide a well designed, smoothly implemented system for the customer.

Commissioning Services

To round out our complete package of services, REC provides commissioning and start-up assistance. We work with all vendors to develop a single commissioning package and schedule for the customer. We supervise commissioning, track progress, and work with operations to ensure a smooth startup and transfer of control. The final documentation package details all commissioning procedures and test results for the future reference of the maintenance personnel.
