The softADP pictured here is implemented on its own dedicated LCD flat panel touch screen. This implementation is used for clients that want state of the art replacement consoles with look, feel, and functionality identical to their existing Bailey consoles that have the Bailey Mylar/LED ADPs. softADP can also be used as a window on a larger display, as shown below. Note: Depending on your Web browser's security settings, you may be prompted to allow ActiveX components to download and run on your machine. You will need to answer "Yes" to these prompts to view the actual ActiveX softADP. One major advantage over Bailey's ADP system is the drilldown menu option in the softADP. The drilldown menus allow the operator to select specific alarms attached to one of the initial keys shown on the softADP screen. The Bailey Mylar ADPs have several alarms, not necessarily in the same alarm group, assigned to each key (lamp) on the ADP. The Bailey ADP has no way to distinguish multiple alarms. With softADP the drilldown menus allow the operator to see all the specific alarms assigned to the key (or lamp).
With softADP the individual alarms associated with each ADP key can reference different pop-up screens, which means that the operator can then jump directly to a detailed display for the alarm instead of a general display. Bailey ADPs support only one display for each key.
